Damage Control Products LLC was formed in late 2007 to manufacture and market the patented JerkStopper™ line of Cable Retention Devices. The JerkStopper™ Laptop Safety Kit addresses the root cause of a very high percentage of the AC power pin problems and failures found on so many laptop computers. The unique JerkStopper™ (US Patent No. 7,537,477) addresses the problem by providing strain relief for the cable thus reducing the connector damage from the day-in and day-out pulling and tugging on the power cable. Utilizing available ports available on all laptop or notebook computers, the JerkStopper™ Laptop Safety Kit fits 99 percent of the laptops currently in service worldwide. Initial market reaction to the JerkStopper™ from both the retail public and laptop repair specialists has been excellent considering the short time the product has been available and the miniscule advertising budget.

Damage Control Products also produces a series of individual and specialized cable retention devices (CRDs) for a wide range of small cable strain relief or retention or routing applications. Each of these devices utilize the JerkStopper adjustable cable clamp as the basis for solving a variety of small cable retention or routing problems.

RJ & USB SERIES - The RJ & USB Series of Cable Retention Devices provide small cable strain relief or retention or routing using an available or unused industry standard RJ11, RJ 45, or USB port. The RJ series devices are positive locking strain relief or tension control devices while the USB Series CRD provides strain relief or retention or routing via unused industry standard USB ports. The USB series devices are not positive locking strain relief or tension control devices and will release from USB socket under load.

STRAP MOUNTED, ADJUSTABLE AND NO ADJUSTABLE - Damage Control Products also offers a series of Lanyard Mounted CRDs that provide small cable strain relief or retention or routing for a variety of non-standard or ad-hoc applications via 0.25 width nylon web strap mounted adjustable cable retention device. Lanyards available in 6” (152mm), 8” (50mm) and 10” (253mm) lengths.

SHOCK CORD MOUNTED - Damage Control Products also offers a series of CRDs attached to a variety of shock cords. Thes CRDS provide cable strain relief or retention for non-standard or ad-hoc applications via adjustable cable clamping jaw mounted on 9/64” shock cord. These units are available in 6” (152mm), 8” (50mm) and 10” (253mm) lengths.

PERMANENT MOUNT - Permanent mount CRDs provide flat surface adjustable cable retention jaws that can be mounted as required in a variety of positions or situations. The JerkStopper adjustable jaw will clamp cables from 3.5mm (9/64) to 8.5mm (21/64) diameter. Unit can be affixed with epoxy or Cyanoacrylate based gelatin bonding adhesive.

ADJUSTABLE CLAMPING JAWS - All JerkStopper adjustable jaw will clamp cables from 3.5mm (9/64) to 8.5mm (21/64) diameter.

EXCLUSIVE PRODUCTS - The JerkStopper™ Quick Release Photo Lanyard is produced exclusively for TetherTools in Scottsdale Arizona. The JerkStopper™ Quick Release Photo Lanyard is used in conjunction with the TetherTools Computer Support for complete tethered set-ups. The JerkStopper™ Quick Release Photo Lanyard removes the stress and strain from the cable or cord ensuring that the plug or cable stays connected and precludes pin or connection damage.
